Preliminary criteria
For the admission in the PhD Programme the previous education in the field of Fine Arts, Architecture, History of Art and Humanities in general will be valued, giving these students priority over the others. The requesters with a degree in the given fields will have preference to others during the selection process. For those who have a different education to the one provided here, each case will be studied taking into account the specific content of its academic record and its CV in general, which can be similar in content.
Selection process
The valuation criteria to be taken into account will be the following, over a 10 points punctuation:
- Academic record from the degree provided for the admission. The adequacy of the degree, the global qualification and the qualification in the subjects more related with the research to be provided will be valued (up to 2.5 points).
- Memory on the research topic, taking into account its possible ascription to an offered research line (up to 4 points).
- Graphic dossier on the artistic work and/or candidate’s CV, taking into account the programme to which they want to access (up to 2.5 points).
- Knowledge in foreign languages (up to 1 point).
- Recommendation letter.
- Interview, if the Academic Committee considers it necessary.
After reviewing the documentation, the PPAC will proceed to select the candidates and later, the assignation of the academic mentors.
For students from other PhDs regulated by previous regulations, as well as those from programmes from other universities, the PPAC will value the requests, which should be necessarily attached with the performed studies responsible reports.
